These are the posts of the songs I wrote. Some have been released, and some are not yet released. When I put up the preview picture, that is the songs which were not released at the time of the posting.

Onitod – The Lord Draws Me to Himself [ Album: Heart of Prayer ]

The Lord Draws Me to Himself, is an instrumental song, full and rich with warm analog sounds, featuring a Roland TR-909, Juno 106, JV-880, Mini V, and other assorted beautiful vintage instruments.

This rich and slow song is made for soul-soaking meditation. It is to sit and relax, with the warm analog sounds. The whole album is a paced continuously so that you can listen to it over and over again, and extend your meditation time as necessary.

The track helps you to relax from a stressful day, and melt away into a presence of warm and soothing sounds, which will lift you out and away from what you currently face, so you can spend some soul-soaking time learning, pondering, and thinking about what it is you need to do, or how to deal with those things in your life that are going on.

This track was a reminder to me, that the Lord is the one who starts the communication. It is not myself, who is the initiator, but the Lord, who starts. He loved us first. He communicates with us first. He is the one who begins. We enter in, to his courts of praise, as we have already been invited to enter. The desire to realize that we have already been invited, is enough for us to know we are to accept the invitation, and enter.

We get too caught up, on should I this, or should I that. We wind up in paralysis. We can’t move at all. We can not even decide on the simplest things. Therefore, we must change our thinking, if we are to move forward in a new way. Our old thoughts no longer empower us, they betray us, and therefore, we have no other option, than to abandon that which only causes us pain and strife, and move to new beliefs, and new ideas that will move us past, and suit us well for our journey.

A time of deep meditation or relaxation is sometimes needed, to free ourselves from the hardened beliefs we have, to step back for a moment, and then realize that we need to change who we are. In our minds, we had not seen the way we have become, and now the two differ, so we must rebase ourselves, and find out what is different, and clean out the weeds from our garden if you will.

Having a place to let go, and find what is truly in our hearts, is a must in a series of steps to begin a process of transformation. This series of steps if in your mind you believe you will find much encouragement, then in fact, you will see much help, guidance, and encouragement along the way. As much as you have hoped for, you will find that exact measure, possibly a little bit more.

Let this track distract you from the clutches of worry, panic, fear, and doubt, as you give your thoughts over to a higher power of intelligence, and draw from the living waters of revival, and see things in a new and enlightened way, and you will be more refreshed to deal with that which is before you. Be well, and take care my friend.

I have put together some preview tracks. I am about to publish 16 albums, from content that was created between 1997-2014. For the next batch of music tracks, they will feature PREVIEW on the splash screen, and so that means that this track, is one song of an album-in-progress. The track may or may not be in its final mastered form. During this preview promotion, you will get to hear a good many different styles that I produced over the years, and will get a feeling for what is coming down the pipe. All the songs are copyrighted their original content year, and the albums will be formally published in 2015. Once published I will update links on the videos to the iTunes and Amazon, and other places that they music will be available. If you would like to use the music for commercial purposes, you can contact me, and we can talk about your needs and find something that works.

Onitod – Seek My Face [ Album: Follow After Me ]

Seek My Face, is an ethereal track, that is based on the music principle of a single note, forming a chord, and going back to a single note.

I had done a lot with drum programming, and needed a change of pace, and so I decided to write an album, with no drum tracks. The songs have tempos, and the arpeggios are synced to the tempo, but there is no percussion.

The entire album is setup so that it can be listened to continuously without interruption, that tracks flow from one to the next, so that deep meditation, and extreme relaxation is possible, and to get lost in the moment is key.

The title comes from seeking after Jesus Christ, the son of God. The one true son, of the one true God. Seek My Face, is a call to action, and a reminder to seek the face of Jesus, to seek communion with Him, which is available to everyone who believes, through the Holy Spirit. It is a free gift of communion. The one true God, is the only God, who seeks communion with His people. No other religion, except that based on the Bible, tells of a way to commune with God directly, in a personal and intimate relationship. Seek My Face, is to draw your attention, to the face, an intimate personal place, that is special. It is a way to convey a deep spiritual connection, to the one true Living God.

My hope, is that you seek to pursue, and answer the call of the one true God, who is calling to you. Seek His Face, as you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and as you further accept the Holy Spirit to dwell within you, you will live a new life, one that you only could have imagined before. Be well my friend, and take care.

Onitod – Simple Inspiration [ Album: The Future of Music ]

Simple Inspiration, is the notion that hard things do not have to be complicated, that not all journeys are difficult, and that perspective is everything.

If you are dealing with cancer or a terminal illness, you know what a bleak future might look like. But the time you have now can be seen as utterly more precious.

I do not like to look at life, with the idea, that the future is one-hundred percent set in stone. Some may like that, when life is going swell, and everything is looking up. However, when a downturn in life, changes the outlook, I do not like to be trapped in a no-happy-ending-story. Therefore I choose to adopt a set of beliefs, that look for and pursue that which is opportunity, possibility, and infinite hope.

No matter how much your future may look like a dead-end, there is no better day than today, to decide that you can become something more.

I saw a family a few months ago, and they had two kids. The youngest was as healthy as could be, but the oldest was in a wheelchair completely disabled, in a sort of M.S. form. I could not take my eyes off of the family, as I looked at them, and realized that they all had a love for each other that was purely genuine. I enjoyed just sitting in the restaurant and watching them give and receive love freely.

I felt their story, as I ate my dinner, and thought about their journey as a family. I could see their love for each other in the tenderness that they treated each other with. I could see how they equally and individually loved each of their children.

I know the question, that some would ask, if your one child was born disabled, why would you have another child. But that would be ignorant to the love that this family shared. To them they were grateful for everything that the Lord had blessed them with, and because they were thankful with a grateful heart, they were able to enjoy all that they had to the most joyous peak of capacity.

To see one’s days as numbered, as I was talking with someone recently, I explained how I was more grateful to have someone pass away, with a long-term or known date of death. At least in that way, I would have had my time to say good-bye and move on, asking last minute questions, and allowing a live grieving process to take place.

I can honestly say, that some of the worst circumstances to come to mind, is the sudden death, or when you go to look up a long past friend, to find out that they died, and are no longer reachable. In these types of ways, I see them as worse as cancer, because there was no letting go. One minute someone is here, and the next they are gone forever.

Perhaps, when you are faced with a dreadful situation, you will reflect on some encouraging ways to look at your life now, and find some simple inspiration.

Simple Inspiration is a song about short and sweet. Sometimes melodies last a while in your life, sometimes they are short and sweet. So no matter how long the melody lasts in your life, enjoy the one you are currently listening to.

Onitod – Good Character [ Album: Eulogy ]

Good Character, is a combination of multiple attributes that a person can attain, if one is willing to persevere.

This track, came from a journey or perseverance, as the tracks that I was writing months before did not come together as I had wished. Then in a spurt of 3 weeks, some of the best music I had written at the time suddenly emerged.

We are called to be in a state of readiness. Ready in season, and out of season. It does not mean to be working all the time, or obsessed with one thing or another, but it does mean to be willing to take action, and be ready to apply the knowledge you have already attained.

There are generally two calls in life about application. One is that you have to learn it on the fly, in the moment of things, and the other is that you learn it one day at a time, and later on it life you apply what you have gradually learned.

The applying at the time of learning, can often be filled with stress, and lead to corruption of character, where by our willingness to stay in good means, suddenly eludes us as we spiral into a panic of stress and disorder. Therefore, it is much better to be in a place, where you do not worry yourself with not being able to use the information and knowledge that you have attained. Instead wait for the day, and behold it will come, as you press on, that you will get to use all that you have worked hard and diligently to acquire.

The one who approaches life, in a more reasonably calm manner, is one who is headed to keep in good character, when trouble, strife, crisis or disorder appear. In those times, the one who has pursued good character will be able to take wise advise and apply it, listen to it, adhere to it, and realize and know it is wise counsel.

This video is a June bug, that was on my doorstep one night, and I took a video, because the june bug knows if it keeps trying, it will eventually flip itself over. The amount of preseverance that this tiny bug has, to me, is quite amazing. I think in life, that is a good lesson to learn, that even when things look upside down, if you keep at it, things eventually turn up, and eventually if you keep trying, you can get back on your feet.

Onitod – Passing You By [ Album: The Future of Music ]

Passing you by, is a song that is in kind order. It is about a friendly passing as you see someone on the way to the market, or as you see them on the street. This song is a friendly pondering, and delight of enjoyment in seeing a friend of familiar face or remembering a sweet soul, as you walk to work, class, lunch, or where ever you may be off to go.

The Future of Music was an album that I put together, in which I first learned how to save compositions, by bending the rules, and making slight modifications to the arrangements, I was able to make the songs better, and more enjoyable to listen to.

In life, sometimes we get thinking, its all or nothing, it either works or it doesn’t, sometimes the difference between working and not working, is very small, most of these songs took 1-2 extra days of work, to get them from failed compositions, to enjoyable compositions.

Sometimes a little extra work, can go a long way, and that’s half the discovery and adventure to find out, which ones need just a little bit more work, and which ones need to go back to square one.

Onitod – Serves God [ Album: Eulogy ]

Serves God, is a hard-edged EDM song, built on the TR-909, Juno-6, and MKS-80, with Juno-106. The piano is a custom preset from a Kawai K11. Also featured is a JD-800, and EMU Ultraproteus.

This song to me, is mysterious. Sometimes that is exactly how I view Serving God. It can be quite the mystery. Some days, I feel like I know what is going on, and other days I am blinding walking a path, and asking am I doing the right thing.

A spiritual journey, is one that involves asking many questions, about what is going on, in life, and in yourself. It is a process, a journey, that is filled with a long quest.

Uncertainty is a form in which can cause fear, or eagerness to learn. I employ you to choose to engage in the learning avenue, rather than fear.

The title, Serving God is on this album, as this album is a collection of what I would like my life to be about. While you are in a good position in life, it is best to consider where you might want your life to end up, so that you can start preparing it to land in that place. Many people in the world, are surprised to find that things do not go as they wish, and in many cases, they wind up in a place, that was not of their choosing. The only way to reasonably live a life of your choosing, is to plan out what you most want to do, and then look for ways, in which you may be able to achieve it. Many people who have applied this method, have been able to accomplish that which they set out to do.

Enjoy this show, while you listen to the music. Serves God is a reminder to me, to try and live a godly life. I hope as you listen to this song, that you strive for that as well. The album name, Eulogy, is thinking about what you would like to be remembered for when you pass away, how you want to inspire people when you are no longer alive. My grandfather and great-grandfather served God, just like Joshua, and that is what I want to follow, to be like who they were, and do what they did, to live rightly, and serve God.

Onitod – Kind [ Album: Spiritual Fruit ]

Kind, is an aggressive full-blown, hard-hitting track. It starts off with massive energy, and keeps the pace. Filled with analog sounds, this piece is set in motion by a Roland TR-909, a Poly800, and a JD800. Various effect delays from Ibanez and Korg also played a role. Analog delay from an old Ibanez unit was key to the warbled delay, that keeps the energy constant. This track is a fraction of the original recording which was over 17 minutes long.

Kind is a character trait that is hard to achieve in this day and age, when frustration rules over self-control, and anger rages tempers on, and cuts patience and gratitude to non-existence. Kind is an essential trait to adapt, and as I journey on my way back to a loving and revived soul, I found the need to practice kindness, which also brought about the need for forgiveness, gratitude, love, gentleness, and patience, along with self-control.

Kindness is difficult to attain for any length of time, without having some ties to all of the our character traits that is lives near. In your journey, I hope that you move toward kindness.

I picked to name this song kindness, because it is about the vibrancy and strength that kindness instills. It takes, in many cases, a fair amount of patience, and temperance mixed with self-control to execute kindness.

I love the warm nature that I think about when I think about kindness, and what boldness it draws me to. I feel that in my pursuit to kindness, that I have overall moved in a better direction, not only for my life, but as a person, and as I reach out beyond myself. Blessings to you and yours.

Onitod – Submersible Dance Machine [ Album: The Future of Music ]

Submersible Dance Machine, is a pop/rock/electro track, that combines elements of EDM, pop, Jazz, Rock, and Alternative.

This was the first album I published under the name Onitod. Even though I had written a lot of the music over a 10 year period of time, I really did not publish any of it till starting in 2007/2008. I had been writing music well enough to publish since 1997/1998, but the timing never fell into place, it never came together, till 2007 when things started moving, and then I started publishing in 2008. So most of the music was just sitting on a hard drive, or on a tape, or in a corner, on a cd, and not being used or listened to, it was just collecting, and nothing was happening. Then in 2007, I got Logic Pro, and it made sense to me. I had protools, but nothing came out better than it went in, and the tools did not work well. I switched to Motu digital performer, but that was worse, it was over complicated. When I got to Logic Pro, all of a sudden things made sense, and I started getting high quality output. It was the first time, I ever recorded something, and the playback was better than what I recorded. I was amazed, and on the mac, my productivity exploded. The first couple of songs I wrote, were not meant to be turned into songs, I just wrote them to learn how to use the software, to see what the software could do. Those practice songs became the entire album: The Future of Music. It was written and recorded in a little over one week. It was the first time, I sequenced on something different than my trusty roland mc50mk2.

Onitod – Loving [ Album: Spiritual Fruit ]

Loving is a track that is driven by an SH-101 lead, wrapped with EMU Audity 2000 drums, TR-909 drums, as well as a Kawai K11, Juno 106, and EMU Ultraproteus. This bold piece stirs up all the components of emotion to deliver a tasteful depiction electronic EDM piece.

Loving is a wonderful trait, that has no end to its inherent value. Love grows so many traits, and the things that come from it are priceless. Love has the ability to pull courage, boldness, strength, peace, calmness, and forgiveness, sometimes all at once.

This track, uses a sh101 as a lead, and then is accompanied by an emu audity 2000, a roland juno 106, and emu ultraproteus, a roland mks80, a roland tr909, and various other analog synths

Onitod – The Rain Will Come and Go [ Album: Looking for the Sunshine ]

The Rain Will Come and Go, is a driving electronic track, heavy on the EDM. It uses a variety of vintage sounds to sooth and satisfy the soul. This pieces is more AB oriented, and switches back between its two themes, revolving certain parts The sounds are laced from sound sources such as the Roland TR-909, MKS-50, MKS-80, Juno-106, Juno-6, Juno-2, JV-880, Kawai K11, and many others.

This title is about understanding, that no matter who you are, poor or rich, no matter wealth, skin color, where you live in the world, how tall or short, or skinny overweight, no matter what, every one in the world goes through and has to deal with problems. Problems, challenges, and struggles are a part of human life, but we can choose how to handle and deal with those issues. We can choose to overcome them, or be overwhelmed by them.

I choose the title, because many difficulties are temporary. We may think that they last for a long time, but they are here, and then gone tomorrow. Many difficulties are not worth the time and emotion that we give them, they are not worth the effort or attention that we set aside for them. May you remember as you  go through life, no matter what you are facing, depression, sadness, hopelessness, despair, anxiety, worry, fear, panic, hesitation, self-confidence, or self-esteem, discouragement, anger, frustration, those only last so long, and then they are gone. So remember that you are free to find the positive, free to enjoy your life, free to seek better outcomes, free to seek protection and guidance from God. Just like the rain, troubles come and go.

This album is about waiting for the lull to be over. Waiting for the sun to come out again. Waiting for the break is life, for things to be less busy. For things to be more calm. Though, when that time comes, enjoy the quiet, enjoy the calm, for things get busy sooner or later.
